Cost efficient operations: Segaline Shipping has operated their fleet at competitive costs by carefully selecting second hand vessels and competitively commissioning and actively supervising cost efficient shipyards to perform repairs, reconditioning and system upgrading work. Together Wtih a proactive prevantative maintenance program, both ashore and at sea, and by employing professional well trained masters, officers and crews, the Company believes that this combination has allowed it the minimize off -hire periods, effectively manage insurance costs and controll overall operating expenses.

Our current fleet deployment strategy for our new purchases well be to try to employ these vessels in the spot market. We anticipate that this strategy will results in better opportunities and greator transparency of earnings. From time to time our management will change our fleet deployment strategy according to the prevailing and expected dry bulk shipping charter market conditions.
